SVP Relationship Manager - FIRST

This senior commercial role focuses on driving strategic growth and deepening relationships within the insurance and financial services ecosystem across the Northwest region. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening partnerships with agencies and brokers, and expanding loan and premium finance volume through trusted advisory relationships. The role blends high-level business development with relationship management, requiring consistent engagement with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives. You will actively represent the organization at industry events and client meetings while identifying opportunities to enhance customer value and retention. Working closely with internal sales, marketing, and operations teams, you will help shape solutions that support both client success and portfolio growth. This is a highly visible, field-based role where commercial acumen, relationship strength, and strategic execution directly impact regional performance.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute a regional business development strategy focused on acquiring and expanding profitable relationships within the insurance and premium finance sector.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with agencies, brokers, and strategic partners aligned with company guidelines.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships by understanding needs, resolving issues, and driving portfolio growth.
  • Engage directly with senior executives and C-suite stakeholders to negotiate and structure high-value partnerships.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen market presence and generate leads.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, and operations teams to optimize sales execution and customer experience.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to identify new opportunities and risks in the market.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, report weekly activity, and ensure disciplined execution of sales processes and travel budgets.
Requirements:

This role requires at least 3 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry, with strong relationship management and business development capabilities. Candidates should demonstrate financial acumen, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to engage effectively with senior-level stakeholders in a competitive, field-based environment.

  • 3+ years of experience in insurance, premium finance, or related financial services industries preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, relationship management, or sales-focused roles.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of lending or premium finance structures.
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, is a strong plus.
  • Ability to build, maintain, and grow long-term client relationships.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage a regional territory with regular travel requirements (Oregon & Washington).
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented mindset with strong commercial awareness.
