Job Description
CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit agency, is looking for a fulltime Supportive Housing Team Leader. The Supportive Housing Team Leader provides daily leadership, coordination, and oversight of Community Support Services (CSS) within the Enhanced Supportive Housing programs. This role supports individuals with serious mental health challenges in achieving recovery, wellness, independent living, and long-term housing stability. The Team Leader supervises direct service staff, coordinates services across multiple residences, and collaborates with providers, hospitals, families, and community partners to ensure person-centered, recovery-oriented services are delivered in compliance with DMHAS, Medicaid, CSS, CSPNJ, and contractual requirements.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Support persons served in maintaining housing stability, increasing independence, and achieving rehabilitation goals identified within Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs).
- Assist staff in addressing barriers related to housing, benefits, healthcare, employment, transportation, community integration, and independent living.
- Collaborate with housing providers, hospitals, treatment providers, and community agencies to support successful outcomes for persons served.
Full-time | Benefit Eligible (Medical, free DMO dental & free vision) including 6 weeks PTO & 11 Holidays
Hourly Rate: $26.44 - $28.85 depending on education & credentials
Requirements:- MUST have a Master’s degree in a mental health field.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in a supervisory role.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience providing community-based behavioral health, psychiatric rehabilitation, supportive housing, Community Support Services (CSS), or related human services.
- Knowledge of Community Support Services (CSS), psychiatric rehabilitation principles, recovery-oriented practices, housing stability interventions, and person-centered planning preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities in fast-paced and high-stress environments.
- Skilled in assessing and responding to crises with professionalism, sound judgment, and composure, while ensuring the safety, stability, and well-being of individuals served.
- Ability to de-escalate challenging situations, make timely decisions and coordinate appropriate interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills which fosters teamwork.
- Proficient in Excel, MS Office products, as well as general computer literacy.
- Proven ability to engage and support individuals with mental health diagnoses using empathy, professionalism, and trauma-informed practices.
- Bilingual skills are a plus!
- MUST have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
