Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Technical Quotation Analyst in Tulsa, Oklahoma! The Technical Quotation Analyst is responsible for supporting quote development, cost estimating, and pricing analysis for domestic and international customer opportunities. This role acts as the internal contact for quote-related inquiries from the Solution Center, Regional Sales Managers, manufacturer’s representatives, and agents.
The Technical Quotation Analyst gathers relevant information from Sales, reviews customer requirements, and works with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to develop accurate and timely cost estimates. Responsibilities- Acts as the internal contact for quote-related inquiries from the Solution Center, Regional Sales Managers, manufacturer’s representatives, and agents.
- Collects relevant quote information to understand customer requirements, application needs, drawings, specifications, volumes, timing, commercial expectations, and other quote inputs.
- Develops and prepares cost estimates to assist in pricing decisions.
- Works with Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering to obtain accurate cost estimates and supporting cost inputs.
- Provides estimates for planning purposes and detailed itemized estimates based on final plans, specifications, drawings, bills of material, labor assumptions, and manufacturing requirements.
- Estimates, upon computing cost factors, items for management purposes such as planning, organizing, scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors through internal stakeholder input, and determining cost effectiveness.
- Works with Engineering and Purchasing to ensure customers have up-to-date prints and pricing to reflect the product quoted and to provide customers with updated pricing for all new and existing products.
- Reviews customer requirements, drawings, specifications, and application information to identify missing information, unclear scope, risk items, cost drivers, or assumptions that may impact pricing.
- Coordinates internally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Operations to ensure quote inputs are complete and aligned.
- Supports quote review, opportunity review, risk review, by communicating estimate basis, assumptions, open items, and cost drivers.
- Maintains organized quote records, estimate files, cost assumptions, pricing support documentation, and related reference information.
- Reviews prior estimates and actual cost information, when available, to improve future quote accuracy and consistency.
- Supports continuous improvement of quote templates, cost models, estimating processes, documentation practices, and quote-cycle efficiency.
- Supports quote and estimating activities for customers in regulated or contract-driven industries, including aerospace, medical devices, DoD, ITAR-controlled programs, and government contract environments.
- Reviews customer requirements and internal feedback to identify potential cost impacts related to documentation, compliance, quality, testing, inspection, export control, traceability, cybersecurity, or special process requirements.
- Ensures estimates consider requirements such as certifications, qualification testing, first article inspection, material traceability, validation, controlled technical data handling, and customer-specific documentation needs.
- Works with appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure customer-sensitive, ITAR-controlled, export-controlled, or government contract information is handled according to company procedures.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Three or more years of experience in quoting, estimating, cost analysis, applications support, technical sales support, manufacturing support, commercial operations, program support, or a related technical/commercial role.
- Experience developing or supporting cost estimates, quotations, bids, or customer proposal packages.
- Ability to read and interpret customer specifications, drawings, technical documents, statements of work, business documents, and internal cost information.
- Strong ability to collect, organize, analyze, and validate information from Sales and internal stakeholders.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, quoting tools, estimating systems, engineering documentation systems, or reporting tools preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program Management.
- Ability to manage multiple quotes, deadlines, open actions, and changing priorities with high attention to detail.
- Experience within regulated or technical manufacturing environments such as aerospace, medical device, DoD, ITAR, or government contract work is preferred.
