SR HRIS ANALYST (POWER AUTOMATE | UKG)
Job DescriptionThe Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing HR reports, dashboards, alerts, and automated workflows that support Human Resources operations, compliance, recruiting, workforce planning, and business decision-making. This fully remote role partners closely with the Sr. HRIS Manager, HRIS, HR, IT, and business leaders to ensure accurate data reporting, strong data integrity, and actionable insights across HR systems.
This position will focus heavily on Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query, SharePoint list automation, HRIS data reporting, dashboard development, and workflow automation. The Sr HRIS Analyst supports continuous improvement by identifying reporting gaps, automating manual processes, validating data accuracy, and helping stakeholders better understand and use HR data.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTSDirect DutiesPower Automate & Automated Reporting- Develops, maintains, and enhances HR reports, dashboards, alerts, and automated workflows.
- Builds automated reporting processes using Power Automate, Power BI, Power Query, SharePoint, and other analytics tools.
- Creates HR dashboards and data visualizations using data from ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro, and other HRIS platforms.
- Automates recurring reports and alerts to improve efficiency, accuracy, and stakeholder visibility.
- Ensures reports are accurate, timely, and delivered to appropriate stakeholders.
- Troubleshoots reporting issues and identifies root causes of data discrepancies.
- Supports the creation and maintenance of automated workflow processes that reduce manual HR reporting tasks.
- Analyzes HR data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities.
- Provides insights related to key HR metrics, including:
- Turnover
- Workforce demographics
- Compliance
- Recruiting metrics
- Ticket dashboards
- LMS data
- Time and attendance data
- Data auditing
- Supports development of department-level KPIs and performance dashboards.
- Reviews reports regularly to identify data integrity concerns.
- Alerts appropriate department leaders when data corrections or updates are needed.
- Maintains and updates audit schedules to ensure ongoing data review and validation.
- Performs data validation, quality checks, and integrity reviews to support accurate reporting.
- Supports enforcement of HR data governance standards and reporting controls.
- Conducts data audits and validation checks across HR systems.
- Assists in maintaining accuracy, consistency, and completeness of HR data across platforms.
- Identifies data quality issues and partners with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
- Supports standardization of HR data definitions, reporting practices, and dashboard structure.
- Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive employee and organizational data.
- Partners with the Sr. HRIS Manager and HRIS Analytics leadership to gather reporting requirements.
- Collaborates with HR, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Compliance, IT, Finance, and business leaders to support reporting needs.
- Provides ad hoc reports and custom data requests to support business initiatives.
- Communicates reporting findings in a clear, professional, and actionable manner.
- Supports stakeholders in interpreting dashboards, metrics, and data trends.
- Builds strong working relationships across departments to improve HR reporting effectiveness.
- Provides basic support to HR and business users on accessing, navigating, and interpreting Power BI reports.
- Assists in developing user guides, training materials, and dashboard instructions.
- Supports adoption of HR reporting tools and automated dashboards.
- Helps stakeholders better understand available HR data and how to use reporting tools effectively.
- Participates in process improvement initiatives related to HR reporting, automation, and data analytics.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline reporting processes and reduce manual work.
- Stays current on Power BI, Power Automate, HRIS, and data analytics best practices.
- Recommends improvements to dashboard design, data workflows, automation processes, and reporting delivery.
- Contributes to scalable, efficient, and consistent HR analytics practices.
- Works independently with minimal oversight while maintaining alignment with HRIS leadership.
- Takes ownership of assigned reporting projects, dashboards, automation workflows, and data quality responsibilities.
- Troubleshoots issues independently and escalates complex matters when appropriate.
- Maintains professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality in all work.
- Supports HRIS, HR, and business initiatives as assigned.
- Demonstrates a continuous learning mindset and commitment to technical growth.
- Documents time worked accurately.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- The By-Laws of the Corporation and as set forth in the Articles of Incorporation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum three (3) years of Power BI and Power Automate experience required.
- Minimum three (3) years of HRIS data, reporting, analytics, or systems experience required.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro, or similar HRIS platforms required.
- Experience with Power Query, DAX, ETL processes, data validation, and data visualization required.
- Experience with SharePoint list automation and advanced Excel required.
- Experience supporting recruiting metrics, ticket dashboards, LMS data, and time and attendance data preferred.
- Experience with HaloPSA, Relias LMS, or Palantir dashboards preferred but not required.
- Strong Power BI dashboard development and data visualization skills.
- Strong Power Automate workflow and reporting automation skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of Power Query, DAX, ETL, and data validation techniques.
- Strong HRIS data reporting and analytics skills.
- Ability to develop automated reports, dashboards, alerts, and workflows.

- $75,000 – $95,000 annually, depending on HRIS analytics, automation, reporting, and related experience.
