Physical Therapist - Marion County Home Health in Cotter, Arkansas at Baxter Health

SUMMARY: Promotes and maintains each patient’s health by providing physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist.

BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Healthstream Policy Manager. Required to work with the director of Rehab Services, regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Rehab Services Department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of and degree holder from a Physical Therapist Assistant Education Program accredited by

the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education

Preferred experience: 12 to 18 months related experience, excluding clinical affiliations required to complete a

degree

Certifications: Current Arkansas PTA license in good standing required and current CPR certification

Preferred Education: Associate Degree

Must be able to stand and walk, and bend, stoop and twist, push, pull and occasionally lift up to 250lbs for up to 8 hours each day. Requires repetitive hand movements. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must have good manual dexterity. Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and PC mouse to utilize computer software for patient care documentation.

Work Environment
Patient care setting: within a hospital environment and in an outpatient setting.

There is potential risk for exposure to communicable diseases and blood or other body fluids.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Direct patient care staff: Monday – Friday 8 hour shifts. Additionally, holiday and weekend work will be scheduled per the current rotation templates.
