About the Role:
The Service Electrician plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within commercial and industrial environments. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment and infrastructure to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability on our Disney World Campus. The electrician will work closely with clients and team members to deliver high-quality service and solutions tailored to specific electrical needs. A strong emphasis is placed on adherence to safety standards and electrical codes to protect personnel and property. Ultimately, the Service Electrician contributes to the seamless functioning of electrical systems that support business operations and industrial processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by local or state regulations.
- Proven experience in commercial and industrial electrical work, including conduit bending and wiring.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as bending conduit and pulling wire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with switchgear and complex industrial electrical systems.
- Additional certifications in specialized electrical areas or safety training.
- Familiarity with advanced diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Experience in project management or supervisory roles within electrical service teams.
- Knowledge of emerging electrical technologies and energy-efficient solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems, including switchgear and industrial wiring.
- Bend and install conduit, including rigid conduit and pipe bending, to route electrical wiring safely and efficiently.
- Pull wire through conduit systems and ensure proper connections and terminations according to electrical codes.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential electrical issues before they impact operations.
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand electrical requirements and provide expert recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any modifications made to electrical systems.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulatory standards to ensure a safe working environment.
