Our team of professionals includes experienced government relations consultants, issue managers, former state legislative staff members, and regulatory attorneys. The Legislative Issue Manager works in Stateside’s Legislative Division.

The salary range for the position of Legislative Issue Manager is $58,000 - $62,000.

Office hours are from 9:00AM to 6:00PM January through May, and from 9:00AM to 5:00PM June through December.

No travel is required.

The essential duties of the Legislative Issue Manager include:

  • Reviewing legislation from state legislatures to determine if client issues are affected;
  • Maintaining accurate and informative legislative updates for clients;
  • Managing frequent client inquiries on legislative trends and updates;
  • Monitoring legislative hearings;
  • Serving as a company resource on issue topics related to subject matter area;
  • Identifying and presenting on trends and changes in state policies for existing and potential clients;
  • Working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
  • Working quickly and accurately with the ability to remain focused during repetitive work;
  • Working collaboratively and regularly attend in-person meetings; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Ability to interpret and analyze written information
  • Experience with client/constituent services
  • High attention to detail is required
  • Ability to quickly synthesize information
  • Ability to work in a diverse political culture
  • Humor, initiative, and openness to evolving responsibility
  • Ability to work in a team environment
