We are currently seeking a Warehouse Materials Supervisor to add to our growing team.

Position Summary & Objective

The Warehouse Materials Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing warehouse operations to ensure the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and issuance of materials in support of manufacturing and operational requirements. This role is accountable for inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, employee supervision, safety compliance, and the effective execution of warehouse processes. The position works closely with Procurement, Production, Planning, Engineering, and Operations to ensure material availability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material movement, shipping, and inventory transactions.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through effective inventory control practices, cycle counting, physical inventories, and timely ERP transactions.
  • Maintain organized warehouse operations that support production schedules, material availability, and efficient workflow.
  • Supervise, schedule, and develop warehouse personnel to achieve operational, safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
  • Provide coaching, training, performance management, and accountability for compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Planning, Engineering, and Operations to ensure effective material flow and support business priorities.
  • Communicate inventory, receiving, and operational issues and escalate concerns that may impact business performance.
  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and material handling processes.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, company policies, and warehouse operating standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience using ERP systems; Microsoft GP experience preferred.
  • Experience managing inventory control processes, cycle counting, and physical inventories.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling practices.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple competing demands.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate operational reports.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Regularly works in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and movement throughout the facility.
  • May be required to lift and move materials up to established company limits.
  • Requires operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and material handling devices.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and manufacturing conditions.
