As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver personalized treatment plans that empower patients to regain confidence, develop essential life skills, and achieve meaningful goals.
What You'll Do- Administer occupational therapy treatment programs with goals tailored to each patient's abilities, needs, and tolerance levels under the direction of a physician and Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve function, mobility, and independence.
- Implement treatment plans while demonstrating strong clinical judgment and sound reasoning.
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate observations to the Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs, daily living skills, and the safe use of adaptive equipment.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that promotes dignity, confidence, and well-being.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance for assigned shifts.
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent observational and documentation abilities.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to exceptional patient care.

Requirements:Qualifications
Education:
Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
Licenses/Certification:
Current COTA license required.
Current CPR certification required.
Experience:
Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
