Pipefitter (Fabrication Shop) in Baytown, Texas at Preferred Industrial Contractors, Inc.

Pipefitters needed for a fabrication shop job in Baytown, TX starting August 31.

Job Length: 4-6 weeks

Hours: 50-70 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipe
• Lay out and fabricate piping systems based on drawings and specifications
• Assemble pipe spools, supports, and components in the shop
• Fit and align piping for welding and mechanical connections
• Inspect and verify fit-up, measurements, and quality of fabricated parts
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, spool sheets, and blueprints
• Follow all shop safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of pipefitting experience (fabrication/shop experience preferred)
• Apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
• Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ANSI, API)
• Ability to read blueprints and perform precise layout work

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Must pass required drug/alcohol screening
