About the Role
We are looking to add another member to our settlement releases team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on Asbestos or Personal Injury settlements and will be comfortable reviewing and drafting release documents. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent written communication, and frequent interaction with clients and defense counsel to ensure all documents are accurate and processed efficiently. The position is based full-time in our Manhattan office.
You Will:
- Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of all settlement release documents.
- Oversee work product of settlement release paralegal team
- Coordinate with attorneys to gather necessary information for the completion of release agreements.
- Communicate with clients and explain settlement release agreements including coordinating document signing or notary appointments.
- Receive and review executed documents to ensure completion and submit to opposing counsel for processing.
- Track status of funding and follow up with opposing counsel on any delays.
- Perform additional administrative and paralegal tasks as required.
You Have:
- Experience working as a settlement release paralegal.
- Proven track record of attention to detail.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in drafting and handling release agreements or related contracts.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Experience working with SmartAdvocate.
- Experience drafting and reviewing contracts.

Salary Range: $26-31 per hour
The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
