Job Description

We are looking for a thoughtful, engaging, and collaborative In-House Substitute.

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

OUR MISSION AND VISION

The mission of Boston Collegiate Charter School is simple yet ambitious: to prepare each student for college. We offer an academically rigorous college preparatory curriculum for 700 students in fifth through twelfth grades. 100% of our graduates have been accepted to college; the majority of them will be the first in their families to complete a college degree.

JOB DETAILS

Strong candidates for our position will:

Expect

  • to be on-campus from 7:00-4:00pm daily, subbing up to 6 periods out of 7, including pull-out testing services for students with Individualized Education Plans, and completing various tasks after school;

  • to assume responsibility of and coverage for students outside of the classroom commensurate with your position; and

  • to assist the school’s Operations Team in general daily tasks such as serving lunch, supporting with administrative tasks, and any other such duties as the Operations Managers or Director of Operations may from time to time request commensurate with the employee’s position.


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • a Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • a minimum of two years’ teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting preferred, but not required

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • The estimated base salary range is $49,187 to $55,360. The final compensation is dependent on criteria including years of service, which is more fully explained in our Approach to Compensation.
