Education and Experience Requirements
Position Purpose:The Supervision and coordination of all work in the Tool Stores department and ensuring that the cleanliness of the complete tool stores facility is maintained.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. The day to day Managerial responsibility for the leadership, administration and assignment of Tool Stores Personnel, leading to the satisfactory completion of all work required. by Internal and External Customers, in accordance with the work specifications and/or Procedures.
  2. Ensuring the competence of all personnel engaged in tool stores activities by advising the Snr Operations Support Manager and Training Coordinator of any training requirements.
  3. The day to day overall responsibility for the Tooling inspection and calibration standards.
  4. Ensuring that Tooling, Hardware and Consumables are stocked and stored in compliance with the Company and Regulatory requirements.
  5. Liaison with the Quality and Airworthiness Supervisor / Manager in respect of Quality and Airworthiness requirements.
  6. Actioning required. Tooling, Hardware and Consumables stock taking, adjustments and reports.
  7. Ensuring control of tools requiring periodic calibration.
  8. Conducting receiving inspections and acceptance of all new, loan and calibrated tooling, in accordance with approved industry standards and company procedures.
  9. Maintaining and retaining Tooling Inspection and Calibration Records as required.
  10. Control the Time Expired Items in Tool Stores, ensuring that all lifed items are monitored and maintained as required.
  11. Carry out Employee Performance Reviews for Tool Stores Personnel.
  12. Carry out all Regulatory Internal and External Audit for the Tool Stores Areas.
Additional Functions:
  1. Inspect All New and Calibrated tooling received from an external calibration facility. .
  2. Issue Tooling, Consumables and Hardware to the relevant work order. .
  3. Controlling the consumable stock items within the tool stores and on the hangar floor to ensure that the stocks are maintained to the required. levels. .
  4. Maintaining a Tool Stores quarantine area and recording the contents of items held in quarantine. .
  5. The administration of the Rejection and Discrepancy system for Calibration issues. .
  6. Ensuring that the Organization Procedures and Standards are adhered to by the Tool Stores Workforce. .
  7. Ensure that a daily audit of the Tool Stores area is carried out and recorded. .
  8. Any other tasks as required. by the Sr Operations Support Manager. .
