Phlebotomist in Lawrence, Massachusetts at Merrimack Health

As the Phlebotomist, you will be asked to ensure the highest level of service to all required stations for the procurement of blood samples. Asked to perform limited laboratory procedures in planting, expediting and reference lab station. Answers directed phone calls for orders, patient results and add-on tests, registers, and processed specimens. Promotes a positive friendly image to patients, visitors and other hospital personnel. Obtains and enters into the computer system (Hospital and Laboratory), via CRT, all pertinent personal, financial, and insurance data concerning patients, to accurately and expeditiously process inpatient and outpatient registrations and specimens and to initiate the claims process as necessary.

Qualified candidates must possess certification:

• Certification from an accredited agency for Phlebotomy
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• New grads are welcome. However, phlebotomy experience, certificates and computer skills are preferred.
• Must be flexible to rotate all shifts as needed
