About the Role:

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within the healthcare and social assistance industry. This position requires comprehensive nursing knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans effectively. The RN will also supervise nursing aides and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations. A key outcome of this role is to address nursing shortages by optimizing resource allocation and maintaining high standards of care. Ultimately, the RN ensures patient safety, promotes health education, and supports admissions processes through clear and compassionate communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
  • Demonstrated understanding of nursing shortages and healthcare needs.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
  • Experience in patient assessment and care planning.
  • Ability to supervise nursing aides and support staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced nursing certifications or special licenses relevant to the healthcare setting.
  • Experience working in diverse healthcare environments within the United States.
  • Training in admissions-specific communication techniques.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Continuing education in healthcare compliance and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop individualized care plans.
  • Supervise and support nursing aides to ensure quality and efficient patient care delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations in all documentation and patient interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members during admissions and throughout the care continuum.
  • Monitor and address nursing shortages by coordinating staffing and resource needs within the unit.
