Medical Assistant-PATH in Bronx, New York at The Floating Hospital Inc

• Greet and register the Department of Homeless Services pediatric, adolescent, and adult applicants.
• Collect all necessary HIPAA documents.
• Adhere to all HIPAA compliance, privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
• Complete registration sheets and makes copies of medical documentation provided.
• Complete medical triage health screening form via CARES when needed.
• Assist providers during assessments and/or treatments as needed, including translating.
• Maintain Quality Control logs daily and perform relevant monthly QC duties.
• Follow strict infection control guidelines to ensure proper clinic environment.
• Submit requests for necessary supplies, medications, and equipment to the PATH Director.

The Shift for this position is Monday to Friday 12 noon-8pm.

Current New York State Medical Assistant certificate; appropriate certification in first-aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation; some experience in the medical profession; ability to speak Spanish is preferable.
