Horticulture/Landscaping Instructor in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington at Ladgov Corporation

Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Horticulture/Landscaping Instructor to provide vocational instruction to students in a secure correctional facility. The instructor will teach horticulture, plant propagation, landscaping, grounds maintenance, workplace safety, and employment-readiness skills through classroom and hands-on training.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a state-approved curriculum to classes of up to 25 students.
• Develop lesson plans and lead hands-on landscaping and beautification projects.
• Track attendance, student progress, certifications, and weekly program activities.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional learning environment.

Qualifications

• State-approved horticulture/landscaping license or instructor certification.
• Relevant horticulture or landscaping experience.
• Strong teaching, communication, and classroom-management skills.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and complete required 40-hour pre-service training.
