This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Product Management based in Canada.
This is a senior product leadership role responsible for translating company strategy into measurable product outcomes across a growing B2B SaaS organization.
You’ll lead a talented, pod-based Product Management team while strengthening strategic thinking, execution discipline, and customer focus.
The role combines portfolio strategy, people leadership, product operations, governance, and cross-functional alignment.
A major focus will be accelerating the practical adoption of AI across product discovery, research, analysis, writing, and roadmapping.
You’ll also help PMs evolve from feature-focused execution toward broader strategic ownership and business impact.
Working closely with Design, Development, Customer Success, and senior product leaders, you’ll manage dependencies, risks, resources, and priorities across multiple initiatives.
This is an opportunity to shape both the product organization and the operating model behind an AI-forward enterprise platform.
- Strategic product leadership: Translate company strategy and prioritized investments into clear pod-level roadmaps, priorities, and measurable outcomes, maintaining a strong point of view on where the product organization can create the greatest customer and business value.
- Team leadership and development: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing Product Management organization, strengthening PM capabilities and helping team members progress from strong execution to strategic product ownership.
- Career development and performance: Establish clear development pathways, expectations, performance standards, and coaching practices that support accountability, continuous improvement, and long-term team growth.
- Cross-functional execution: Partner closely with Product Design, Development, Customer Success, and senior product stakeholders to shape product direction, coordinate delivery, resolve dependencies, and manage cross-functional risks.
- Product operations and governance: Establish and continuously improve product processes, tools, operating rhythms, and quality standards that make prioritization and delivery focused, consistent, and predictable.
- Data-driven decision-making: Promote the use of high-quality product and business data to guide decisions, evaluate performance, and measure outcomes against strategic objectives.
- Customer advocacy: Champion customer needs through qualitative and quantitative insights, enabling PMs to develop strong customer expertise and translate feedback into actionable product strategies.
- Portfolio and resource management: Oversee PM capacity and resource allocation across multiple pods and initiatives, balancing near-term delivery with longer-term investments in the product platform and organization.
- AI transformation: Define and implement a practical vision for AI-enabled product management, identifying, testing, and scaling tools and workflows across discovery, research synthesis, writing, analysis, decision-making, and roadmapping.
- AI enablement and governance: Set adoption goals, establish appropriate guardrails, provide enablement, and model effective AI usage to ensure new workflows generate sustainable improvements in team productivity and effectiveness.
- Industry innovation: Monitor emerging product, technology, and industry trends and translate relevant developments into opportunities to improve product strategy, team capabilities, and organizational impact.
- 10+ years of Product Management experience in a B2B SaaS environment, including 5+ years leading and developing high-performing Product Management teams at Director level or above.
- Strategic leadership: Proven ability to translate company strategy into product roadmaps, portfolio investments, priorities, and measurable business outcomes across multiple teams or product areas.
- People leadership: Demonstrated success coaching PMs from execution-focused delivery toward strategic product ownership, while creating scalable career frameworks and performance standards.
- Product operating expertise: Deep understanding of roadmap planning, prioritization, discovery, stakeholder alignment, execution governance, and Agile or pod-based product operating models.
- AI adoption: Experience implementing AI-powered tools, workflows, or practices within product organizations to improve discovery, decision-making, delivery efficiency, and team effectiveness.
- Cross-functional influence: Strong ability to align senior stakeholders and coordinate across Product, Design, Engineering/Development, Customer Success, and other business functions.
- Customer orientation: Ability to champion customer insights and connect product decisions to meaningful customer and business outcomes.
- Organizational scaling: Experience building or evolving product organizations during periods of growth, transformation, or platform modernization is highly valuable.
- Industry knowledge: Experience in HR technology, learning technology, enterprise software, or another complex B2B SaaS environment is a strong advantage.
