This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Record To Report Consultant based in India.
As a Record To Report Consultant, you will support financial reporting, bank management, and management information activities within a structured finance operations environment.
You will help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data by reconciling bank records, system data, and cash transactions.
The role combines financial analysis, MIS reporting, reconciliation, audit support, and day-to-day banking operations.
You will work closely with accounting, accounts payable, treasury, banking partners, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and maintain smooth processes.
You will also contribute to cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, KPI tracking, and the continuous improvement of reporting activities.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to SLAs will be essential to maintaining high standards of accuracy and operational efficiency.
This is a full-time opportunity in India, operating primarily on a UK shift schedule.
- Perform and support Management Information System (MIS) reporting and bank management activities according to defined schedules and turnaround times.
- Reconcile bank statements with company and system records, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial data.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of bank MIS with system data and validate the matching of funds.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, variance reports, and management reports to support financial decision-making.
- Review and validate bank charges and fees, escalating discrepancies to treasury teams or banking partners when required.
- Monitor automated bank statement uploads and investigate or troubleshoot integration-related issues.
- Generate, validate, and distribute management reports accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Provide supporting documentation and explanations for cash and bank-related audit queries.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable teams to support timely and accurate payment processing.
- Liaise with banking partners regarding operational issues, account-related queries, and opportunities to improve service quality.
- Track key performance indicators for cash and banking processes, including reconciliation timeliness and error rates.
- Respond to customer and stakeholder queries within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain and provide ongoing support for existing MIS processes and reporting requirements.
- Assist the team leader with MIS, reporting, and bank management activities as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities using relevant industry and operational best practices.
- Maintain high standards of timeliness and accuracy, ensuring day-to-day activities consistently meet defined SLA requirements.
- Relevant professional experience in finance operations, accounting, MIS reporting, bank reconciliation, or Record to Report activities.
- Knowledge of trial balance finalization and preparation or review of draft balance sheets.
- Exposure to SAP Finance and relevant SAP modules.
- Strong ability to understand and quickly adapt to different reporting applications and financial systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and other tools used for reporting and documentation.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and resolve or escalate issues appropriately.
- Understanding of bank reconciliation, cash management, payment processes, and financial reporting activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and banking partners.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Ability to manage multiple activities while consistently meeting deadlines, accuracy targets, and SLA requirements.
- Proactive approach to identifying process improvements and implementing more efficient ways of working.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a structured, service-oriented finance environment.
- Willingness to work 8.5 hours per day on a UK shift.
