Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer in India.
You will join a high-impact engineering environment focused on building and scaling robust cloud infrastructure across multiple B2B SaaS products. The role centers on designing and owning end-to-end DevOps systems that enable fast, reliable, and secure software delivery at scale. You will work closely with engineering teams to shape infrastructure from the ground up rather than just maintaining existing systems. Expect a strong emphasis on automation, cloud-native architecture, and production readiness across distributed services. The environment is fast-moving, with a strong focus on reliability, observability, and continuous delivery. Your work will directly influence platform stability, deployment velocity, and overall product performance across a portfolio of software businesses.
- Design, build, and evolve AWS-based infrastructure (ECS Fargate, ECR, ALB, VPC, Secrets Manager) using Terraform or AWS CDK, ensuring scalable and repeatable environments.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including Docker builds, automated deployments, health checks, and rollback mechanisms.
- Manage containerized production workloads (Node.js, Express, BullMQ, Valkey, PostgreSQL with pgBouncer) ensuring performance and reliability.
- Own observability systems end-to-end (Grafana, Loki, Promtail, CloudWatch), including dashboards, logging, metrics, and proactive alerting.
- Define and enforce environment strategies across development, staging, and production with proper isolation and deployment governance.
- Strengthen security posture through IAM design, secrets management, dependency scanning, and SSL/TLS implementation across services.
- Maintain and support Linux and Windows-based servers running automation services, including process management and system hardening.
- Create and maintain operational documentation such as runbooks, disaster recovery plans, and incident response procedures.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles in production environments.
- Proven experience building infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or AWS CDK in real-world systems.
- Strong background in designing CI/CD pipelines from scratch with modern deployment strategies.
- Experience running containerized workloads in production using Docker and AWS ECS or equivalent platforms.
- Deep understanding of observability practices, including logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident detection.
- Strong knowledge of production-grade security practices such as IAM, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning.
- Solid Linux administration skills, including system configuration, process management, and server hardening.
- Experience handling production incidents and performing root cause analysis with documented post-mortems.
- Nice to have: PostgreSQL tuning and connection pooling (pgBouncer, Neon), Redis/BullMQ, Windows Server administration, CI security tools (Snyk, Trivy), AWS certifications.
- Competitive salary package aligned with experience and market standards.
- Full remote work setup with flexible working hours and async-first collaboration.
- Opportunity to own and shape infrastructure across multiple SaaS businesses.
- Professional development support, including AWS certifications and technical training.
- Exposure to complex scaling challenges across a diverse portfolio of software products.
- High autonomy in architecture decisions and infrastructure strategy.
