Job Description
i2Systems is a leading designer and manufacturer of LED lighting systems used in demanding and high reliability applications. The i2Systems team designs and builds advanced lighting modules concentrating on wellness, energy efficiency, and high-quality illumination of North America’s premier spaces.
What to Expect:
The Field Services Technician will support field execution, customer coordination, and technical deployment activities for i2Systems installations and projects. This role combines hands-on field support with project coordination, technical troubleshooting, and customer-facing support responsibilities.
The position requires regular travel to customer and project sites, with approximately 60% travel expected. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically capable, customer-oriented, and comfortable operating independently in both field and office environments.
When not actively supporting field projects, this individual will assist with internal project management coordination, technical documentation, training activities, and customer support initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Field installation and deployment support for i2Systems products
- Participation in preconstruction meetings and project coordination activities
- Post-construction support, troubleshooting, and customer follow-through
- Commissioning and startup support for i2Systems lighting and control systems
- Coordination with engineering, production, and customer teams during project execution
- Technical support assistance for fielded systems and customer issues
- Training and technical support for i2Systems sales representatives and partners
- Assistance with internal project management coordination and technical documentation
- Travel regularly to project and customer sites as required
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong technical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting capability
- Comfortable working independently in customer-facing field environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and support activities simultaneously
- Comfortable traveling regularly to support installations and commissioning activities
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude preferred
- Experience with lighting, controls, construction coordination, or technical field support is beneficial
- High ownership mentality with strong attention to detail
- Team-oriented working style
