Restaurant Server in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at Dakota Dunes Resort

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner.
• Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming dining experience.
• Build positive relationships with guests and anticipate their needs.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food, beverage, and daily feature menus.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and provide menu recommendations.
• Answer guest questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and beverage selections.
• Enter orders accurately and communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with established service standards.
• Perform quality checks to ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Clear and reset tables while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
• Process guest bills accurately and handle cash, debit, credit, and other payment transactions.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain a sense of urgency while delivering efficient and attentive service.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Adhere to all food safety, liquor service, health, and safety regulations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of serving experience in a fast-paced upscale or fine-dining restaurant.
• Valid Serving It Right (or provincial equivalent) certification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sales and upselling abilities.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn menu offerings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Basic mathematical skills for processing payments and handling cash.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements throughout a shift.
• Ability to lift and carry food and beverage trays weighing up to 65 pounds.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
