YOUR PURPOSE
The role of a mechanical engineer plays an essential role in supporting and shaping project outcomes and building meaningful partnerships with clients. You contribute to early planning and mechanical system design discussions and help translate client goals into practical, integrated solutions. Collaboratively working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you’ll influence design direction, strengthen collaboration, and ensure projects move forward with clarity and purpose. This role is designed to accelerate your development by deepening your technical expertise in building systems and mechanical design, building your leadership presence, and positioning you as a key contributor to the firm’s success through high-quality work, strong communication, and engaged client relationships.

Key Actions
- Contribute to the development of technical designs by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and applying sound design solutions to support project goals.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of construction documents from schematic design through construction administration to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Support the refinement of departmental standards and quality practices to enhance team performance and client outcomes.
- Help foster a collaborative project team culture by holding yourself accountable, supporting open communication, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Client Engagement

- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to strengthen technical quality and support team development.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices to support their professional goals.

Professional Foundations
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET- accredited institution.
- Professional licensure, certification or accreditation required
- Achievement of or pursuing LEED Accreditation or other industry relevant certifications and accreditations.
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in the A/E or MEP industry.
- Proficiency in Revit or similar design software; building load calculation software, and relevant engineering systems.
- Familiarity with applicable codes (Mechanical, Plumbing, Building, and Life Safety Codes)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Teams).
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Slides, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar, Gmail).
- Strong understanding of project phases, documentation, and coordination processes
