About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead and deliver large-scale Master Data Management implementations for top-tier pharmaceutical clients. This is a high-impact, client-facing role where you will serve as the primary delivery leader across complex, multi-stakeholder MDM programs — from initial solutioning through go-live and beyond.
You will operate at the intersection of business consulting, technology delivery, and executive engagement, requiring equal fluency in data strategy conversations with C-suite stakeholders and hands-on program governance with delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Program Delivery & Governance
- Lead end-to-end MDM program delivery for Big Pharma clients, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and quality across all phases
- Coordinate with multiple upstream and downstream systems to develop integrated, consolidated delivery plans
- Define and maintain program governance structures including workstream leads, RACI matrices, and escalation paths
- Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate program risks and delivery challenges to both internal and client leadership
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders — building trusted relationships with VPs, Directors within Pharma organizations
- Facilitate program steering committee (SteerCo) meetings, preparing and presenting executive-level status reports, milestone summaries, and risk dashboards
- Translate complex technical MDM concepts into clear business impact narratives for non-technical audiences
Cross-functional Coordination
- Partner with data architects, MDM solution leads, data stewards, and integration teams to ensure cohesive execution across all workstreams
- Align cross-functional teams on data domain priorities (HCP/HCO, Product, Patient, Reference Data) and manage dependencies across parallel tracks
Pre-Sales & Business Development
- Actively contribute to and lead the development of RFP responses for MDM, Data Governance, and related Data Management engagements
- Collaborate with solution architects and practice leads to craft compelling proposals, effort estimates, and delivery approaches
- Represent delivery expertise in client orals, workshops, and capability presentations
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in program/project management within Data Management, MDM, or Enterprise Data domains
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale MDM implementations (Reltio, Informatica MDM, Stibo, TIBCO EBX, or similar platforms) for pharmaceutical or life sciences clients
- Deep understanding of Pharma data domains — HCP/HCO master data, product hierarchies, reference data, or patient data
- Strong experience managing cross-functional delivery teams across business and technology workstreams
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present executive-level materials (SteerCo decks, program dashboards, risk registers)
- Hands-on proficiency with Jira for program tracking, sprint management, and reporting
- Prior experience contributing to or leading Data Governance and MDM RFP responses
- Comfort with AI tools and emerging technologies to drive delivery efficiency and insight generation
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with commercial pharma processes such as incentive compensation, affiliations, or territory alignment
- Background in Agile delivery methodologies within MDM or Data Platform programs
Soft Skills & Leadership Competencies
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for audiences ranging from data engineers to C-suite executives
- Confident and credible presenter — able to walk a SteerCo through a difficult conversation (scope change, budget overrun, timeline risk) without losing stakeholder trust
- Builds strong, enduring relationships with clients that extend beyond the current engagement; seen as a trusted advisor, not just a vendor
- Approaches ambiguous situations with structured thinking — able to quickly frame the problem, identify options, and drive toward a decision
- Takes full ownership of program outcomes — does not deflect when things go sideways, and proactively drives corrective action
- Holds teams and clients accountable to commitments in a way that is firm but respectful
- Brings a "delivery-first" mindset — focused on outcomes, not just activities
