Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, stack, and organize materials in our warehouse. This is a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods and maintaining a safe working environment.
Duties:
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Stack and organize products in designated storage areas
- Perform routine inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Assist with inventory control by accurately recording stock movements
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure timely fulfillment of orders
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while operating the forklift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role
- Proficient in operating various types of forklifts including cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record stock movements
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Skills:
- Warehouse: Familiarity with warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
- Cherry picker: Proficiency in operating cherry pickers or similar equipment.
- Shipping receiving: Understanding of shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse environment.
- Clamp truck: Experience operating clamp trucks or similar material handling equipment.
- OSHA: Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety.
- Forklift: Expertise in operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Warehouse management: Understanding of warehouse management systems and procedures.
- Heavy equipment operation: Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or other material handling machinery.
