This position is for you if:

- You no longer want to be an OTR driver and be home every night with your family.

- You have a minimum of 2 years Class B driver experience (Class A preferred) as well as Forklift experience.

- You are customer-oriented, work well with other team members, and have good communication skills.

- You have a good driving record, punctual, trustworthy, and reliable.

- You are bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).

As the successful Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering quality products to the designated locations within a given period of time. This role is a critical part of our shipping and receiving operations and serves as the final connection between Speedling and our customers. You will be responsible for safely delivering products, maintaining equipment, and supporting overall plant operations when needed.

The job details

• Operate company-owned and/or leased trucks safely and efficiently.
• Operate truck for the delivery, pickup racks, and trailers of nursery products and materials.
• Complete all required delivery and pickup documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform pre-trip, during-trip, and post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding schedules, updates, and delivery changes.
• Maintain travel and cargo logs in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
• Operate in a safe responsible manner are compliant with all Federal, State, and DMV regulations.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
• Keep vehicles, trailers, and equipment clean and in excellent condition.
• Inspect equipment and report repair needs promptly.
• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations including, but not limited to, helping load and unload racks on trucks and assisting with maintenance and production when not delivering.
