This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer in the United States.

This role focuses on building and evolving enterprise-grade digital experiences on Adobe Experience Manager across Sites, Assets, and AEM as a Cloud Service. You will contribute to the design and development of scalable, high-performance web platforms that power customer-facing digital journeys. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, you’ll partner with product, design, and content teams to deliver seamless authoring and publishing experiences. The role blends backend Java engineering with modern front-end development and cloud-native AEM practices. You will also play a key role in optimizing performance, ensuring maintainability, and supporting large-scale digital experience platforms. This is an opportunity to work on impactful systems that directly shape how content is created, managed, and delivered across multiple channels.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining AEM-based digital experience solutions that are scalable, performant, and aligned with business needs. You will develop reusable components, templates, and services while ensuring a strong content authoring experience and robust technical architecture.

  • Design and develop AEM Sites components, templates, content fragments, and workflows using modern AEM best practices
  • Build backend services using Java, OSGi, Sling Models, and Servlets within AEM
  • Develop front-end interfaces using HTL, JavaScript, and modern UI tooling
  • Implement headless and hybrid content delivery using GraphQL APIs and Content Fragments
  • Support AEM Cloud Service migrations and CI/CD pipeline implementation
  • Integrate AEM with Adobe Experience Cloud and third-party enterprise systems
  • Optimize performance across Dispatcher, caching layers, and high-traffic publishing environments
  • Troubleshoot production issues across author, publish, and dispatcher tiers
  • Collaborate with content authors, designers, and stakeholders to improve usability and workflows
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and ongoing platform improvement initiatives
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in AEM development, with deep expertise in Java-based backend systems and modern front-end integration. You should be comfortable working in enterprise environments with complex content and delivery requirements, and capable of translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.

  • 5+ years of experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development
  • Strong proficiency in Java, OSGi, Sling, and HTL
  • Hands-on experience with AEM 6.5 or AEM as a Cloud Service
  • Solid understanding of AEM architecture (author, publish, dispatcher)
  • Experience with Content Fragments, GraphQL APIs, and headless AEM implementations
  • Strong front-end skills with JavaScript and modern build tools
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for AEM deployments (Cloud Manager, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions)
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud integrations (Analytics, Target, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary aligned with experience
  • Full-time W2 employment with long-term project engagement
  • 100% remote work within the United States
  • Comprehensive healthcare and insurance coverage (medical, dental, vision)
  • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements
  • Career growth opportunities in enterprise-scale digital experience projects
  • Exposure to modern Adobe Experience Cloud and cloud-native AEM implementations
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven engineering environment
  • Ongoing learning and professional development support
