Banquet Bartender in Lake Lure, North Carolina at Fairfield Mountains Property Owners

The Banquet Bartender provides friendly, responsive alcoholic beverage service to create an exceptional bar experience for all members and guests. Acting as “Brand Ambassador” for the Rumbling Bald community, the Banquet Bartender sets the standard of excellence in service and product knowledge.

Essential Job Duties:

• Courteously greets and takes orders from bar guests and offers beverage recommendations.
• Mixes, garnishes, and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications.
• Performs job duties in accordance with ABC Laws and Regulations and is responsible in securing alcoholic beverages after hours.
• Reads, interprets, and follows Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Follows company prescribed Point of Sale operating standards.
• Assists with event setup to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, and preparing drinks.
• Assists with food service to include picking up food from kitchen, carrying trays to event location, serving food, and clearing tables.
• Assists with event break down to include clearing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
• Prepares condiments, brews coffee or tea, and ensures workstations are stocked and ready for service.
• Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious or intoxicated persons).
• Functions as leader amongst the banquet staff and maintains professionalism in high volume/ high demand events.
• Provides general property information and offers warm and sincere welcome & farewell for all guests.

• One-year prior experience as a bartender (outside hire) or 6 months in a related service hospitality position as an Associate at Rumbling Bald.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, drive and motivation.
• Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to talk, hear and speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Endure long periods of sitting, standing or walking in a hot, humid environment.
• Required to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping and use hands and fingers to handle, or feel.
• Meets highest standards of personal grooming.
• Drive vehicle for performance of job duties.
