This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud-native platforms that power modern SaaS healthcare data solutions used globally. You will play a key role in architecting and operating cloud infrastructure that supports secure, reliable, and high-performance services across distributed environments. The position blends software engineering and DevOps practices, with strong emphasis on Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure as code. You will work closely with architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure systems meet enterprise-grade standards for compliance, scalability, and resilience. The environment is highly collaborative and mission-driven, supporting technologies that improve healthcare data interoperability across multiple countries. This is a high-impact engineering role at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, automation, and healthcare innovation.
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native services and RESTful APIs using Python, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript to support scalable SaaS platforms.
- Build, optimize, and manage containerized applications using Docker, ensuring secure, efficient, and production-ready deployments.
- Author, version, and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments, including configuration management, upgrades, and rollback strategies.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and release workflows across cloud environments.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services (including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate) and infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CDK and Terraform.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and scalability, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements such as caching, scaling, and resource optimization.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure compliance, observability, and best practices in cloud architecture and deployment.
- Troubleshoot production and staging issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective solutions.
- Manage in-cluster services such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, Grafana, and Elasticsearch using Helm or Kubernetes operators.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, deployment processes, and system configurations.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused software development roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience building SaaS applications and working with multi-cloud or large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for API development (REST or GraphQL).
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services, including storage, identity, secrets management, and compute services.
- Practical experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Elasticsearch/Loki.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, GitOps workflows, and secure cloud architecture practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Competitive salary range ($120,000 – $135,000 annually)
- Remote-first work environment with flexible scheduling
- Comprehensive health, medical, dental, and disability coverage
