About the role:

The Team Lead position is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting daily production operations while providing guidance, training, and direction to team members. This role serves as a key communication link between employees and management, helping ensure safety, quality, productivity, and operational goals are achieved. The Team Lead leads by example, promotes a positive work environment, and helps drive continuous improvement throughout the facility.

You’ll get to:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

a. Lead, coach, and support production employees to ensure safe and efficient operations.

b. Monitor daily production activities to ensure schedules, quality standards, and productivity goals are met.

c. Train and onboard new employees while reinforcing standard operating procedures and work instructions.

d. Promote and enforce all food safety, quality, GMP, and workplace safety requirements.

e. Communicate production priorities, operational updates, and company initiatives to team members.

f. Assist in troubleshooting equipment, process, and production issues to minimize downtime.

g. Monitor employee performance and provide feedback, guidance, and support for continuous improvement.

h. Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.

i. Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

j. Support staffing needs, break coverage, and workflow adjustments throughout the shift.

k. Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing solutions.

l. Report operational concerns, safety incidents, and performance issues to management.


Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

m. Assist supervisors and managers with special projects and departmental initiatives.

n. Participate in safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

o. Support inventory accuracy, material handling, and product accountability as needed.

p. Help foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, communication, and engagement.

Must-haves:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Previous manufacturing, production, or food manufacturing experience preferred

• Prior leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
