Job Description
The Therapist is responsible for conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, implementing clinical interventions, and evaluating client outcomes for students and families within Galveston County schools.
The selected candidate will join FSC’s clinical team of dedicated professionals committed to bringing hope and healing to individuals impacted by trauma, difficult life circumstances, and mental health challenges. FSC provides in-house supervision for individuals with provisional licensure in the State of Texas, as well as a supervision stipend for clinicians with approved external supervisors.
FSC is seeking dynamic and compassionate professionals from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about providing quality mental health services and contributing to a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
FSC serves a large Spanish-speaking population and offers additional stipends for bilingual Spanish-speaking professionals to support the needs of our community.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
• Knowledge of the treatment process from intake through evaluation of client outcomes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, school personnel, and community partners
• Knowledge of and adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality standards
• Proficiency with computers, software applications, electronic health records, and mobile communication devices
Qualifications
Therapist I
• Master’s degree in clinical mental health specialty
• Eligibility for full licensure in Texas
• Minimum of one (1) year of mental health clinical experience
Therapist II
• Master’s degree in clinical mental health specialty
• Full licensure in Texas
• Minimum of two (2) years of mental health clinical experience
LSOTP / LSOTP-Track Preferred
• Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider (LSOTP) credential preferred
• Candidates currently in the process of obtaining LSOTP certification are encouraged to apply
FSC employs a diverse clinical team, including:
• Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and LPC-Associates
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) and LMFT-Associates
• Licensed Master Social Workers and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LMSW/LCSW)
• LSOTP professionals and clinicians pursuing LSOTP specialization
