PURPOSE:

At SEMA, we are searching for a Vice President of Technology to guide our technology strategy and elevate our tech team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving our technological transformation, steering us towards achieving our strategic objectives, and shaping the future of our industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and implement a forward-looking technology strategy that aligns with business objectives, driving sustainable growth and maintaining a competitive edge.
  • Design and manage a comprehensive technology roadmap that integrates new technologies, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Bring technology systems and infrastructure up-to-date to improve performance, security, and competitiveness.
  • Lead and mentor the technology team, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
  • Work closely with other C-level executives to ensure technology initiatives are aligned with overall business strategies and goals.
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity strategies, ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and manage associated risks.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and ensure the company remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
  • Implement and refine processes to enhance the efficiency of technology operations, establish and track key performance indicators, and oversee budget and resource allocation.
  • Ensure that technology solutions are designed to meet customer needs effectively and contribute to strengthening the company’s market position.
  • Lead the response to technological crises, develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, and ensure business continuity in the face of disruptions.

Pay Range: $250,000 - $280,000

Requirements:

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Equivalent experience with a strong track record in technology leadership is also considered.
  • 10+ years in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years focused on innovation, emerging technologies, or digital transformation.
  • Work with other executives and stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C environments, demonstrating the ability to leverage technology to meet diverse market needs.
  • Extensive experience with machine learning, cloud computing, and data analytics. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity practices is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a technology team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovative and effective solutions.
  • Strong capability to align technology and innovation strategies with overarching business goals.
  • Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
