Position Overview:
This is a remote, temporary position supporting our California operations team, based out of our San Luis Obispo and Camarillo, CA locations.
We are seeking a reliable and tech-savvy Solar Project Specialist to provide short-term coverage for our California project management team. This is a temporary opportunity, estimated at 30 days with potential to extend based on business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in communications with California customers regarding inbound inquiries and project updates
- Track and communicate project status updates using HubSpot
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, construction, and site survey) to gather project updates and relay accurate information to customers
- Assist with and submit interconnection applications
- Document customer interactions and follow up on outstanding action items
- Escalate complex technical or rebate-related issues to the appropriate team member
- Assist with general project documentation and administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a project management role
- Proficiency with HubSpot or comparable CRM platform
- Strong communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor when handling frustrated customers
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable internet connection and availability during standard business hours (Pacific Time)
- Tech savvy with ability to learn internal processes quickly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in solar, construction, or home services industry
- Familiarity with California solar programs, including NEM 3.0 and utility processes (PG&E, etc.)
- Previous customer-facing administrative experience
Pay for this position is $31-$41 per hour, depending on experience.
The pay range for this role is:
31 - 41 USD per hour(San Luis Obispo)
31 - 41 USD per hour(Camarillo)
