  • Conduct applied research, modeling, simulation, prototyping, and testing to validate hydraulic performance and design assumptions
  • Provide technical leadership in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, hydraulic performance, and system troubleshooting across projects and production issues
  • Prepare technical documentation including design parameters, test results, benchmarking studies, and engineering reports
  • Lead design reviews, DFMEA, DFM, SPC, and other quality/reliability processes to improve product robustness and manufacturability
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements including Hydraulic Institute and Department of Energy guidelines
  • Support engineering change processes (ECO/TCN/FAI/MDR) and maintain strict adherence to document control standards
  • Serve as subject matter expert for root cause analysis, quality investigations, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Develop hydraulic design standards and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and tools
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, reviewing technical work and supporting problem-solving activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in fluid dynamics, turbomachinery, or hydraulic system design
  • Strong expertise in CAD, CAE, and CFD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Star-CCM+, PUMPAL)
  • Solid understanding of fluid flow, hydraulic performance, and heat transfer principles
  • Experience with design validation, testing, simulation, and engineering analysis methods
  • Knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, SPC, and quality/reliability engineering practices
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory frameworks governing hydraulic systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to technical detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a structured, fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: experience with Python or MATLAB for engineering analysis and automation
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary package with performance-based compensation
  • Hybrid work model with flexibility (including remote work up to 2 days per week)
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage
  • Retirement plan with company participation (401k)
  • Tuition reimbursement and continuous learning opportunities
  • Career development programs and on-site training resources
  • Profit-sharing opportunities and long-term employee value participation
  • Strong focus on work-life balance, health, and well-being
  • Inclusive and collaborative engineering culture
  • Opportunity to work on advanced hydraulic systems and high-impact engineering projects
