Mission of Dental Assistant
The Dental Assistant reports to the Assistant Team Lead. The mission of the Dental Assistant is to help facilitate patient understanding of the treatment needed as well assisting the doctor with chair side dental procedures. The Dental Assistant is accountable for creating a relationship with patients, assisting the doctor to increase doctor production. The Dental Assistant must be knowledgeable about dentistry and be able to work with the doctor in a wider variety of dental procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Escort patients to treatment rooms and ensure comfort.
- Clinical Preparation: Update health histories, record vital signs, and prepare rooms.
- Procedural Setup: Organize all necessary materials and instruments before the dentist arrives.
- Chairside Assisting: Provided high-quality assistance during a wide variety of dental procedures.
- Diagnostics & Lab Work: Capture X-rays, take clinical impressions, and process laboratory work.
- Expanded Functions: Perform independent tasks including seating crowns, adjusting dentures, and applying fluoride.
- Inventory Management: Order clinical supplies, restock treatment rooms, and organize inventory.
- Patient Education: Educate patients clearly regarding post-op care and upcoming procedures.
- Sanitation & Maintenance: Sterilize instruments, disinfect treatment rooms, and maintain dental equipment
