HVAC Maintenance Technician — Standard Heating & Air Conditioning — Birmingham, AL

What You'll Do as a Maintenance Tech
- Run scheduled maintenance and service calls as directed by Dispatch
- Deliver a 5-star customer experience on every visit — communicate clearly, ask the right questions, and offer real solutions
- Hit on-time arrival on your first call and give customers accurate ETAs throughout the day
- Perform thorough HVAC system inspections using the evaluation checklist and walk customers through anything you find
- Present customers with ABC options based on their needs, plus service agreements, accessories, and comfort upgrades
- Debrief with Dispatch after each call and communicate parts used
- Follow the PO process for non-truck stock parts to keep pricing accurate
- Leave every home as clean or cleaner than you found it
- Keep your truck stocked, organized, and inspection-ready
- Return warranty parts and unused inventory to the branch
- Complete required documentation and checklists accurately
What We're Looking For in a Maintenance Tech
- High School diploma or GED
- EPA Certification (R22)
- NATE or ICE Certification preferred
- Able to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot refrigerant, electrical, and duct system issues
- Comfortable using a tablet, smartphone, and GPS
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and tight spaces
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Professional, customer-first attitude with strong communication skills
