Job Description
Are you handy, detail-oriented, and energized by transforming a space? Reedy & Company is seeking a skilled Make-Ready/Paint Tech (Make Ready Technician) to join our team. In this role, you will be the critical bridge between outgoing and incoming residents. Your primary mission is to take recently vacated apartments and turn them into pristine, fully functional, and welcoming homes ready for their next chapter, with a heavy emphasis on high-quality painting and surface restoration.
If you take pride in seeing a dramatic "before and after" and want to work with a premier property management team, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
You will own the apartment turnover process from start to finish, ensuring every unit meets Reedy & Company’s high standards of quality and safety.
Painting & Drywall: Patch holes, repair drywall textures, scrape, prime, and perform full-room or touch-up painting to give the apartment a fresh, flawless look.
Basic Plumbing: Inspect and repair minor plumbing issues, including fixing leaky faucets, replacing toilet components, clearing clogged drains, and installing new fixtures.
Basic Electrical: Safely replace light fixtures, ceiling fans, wall switches, outlets, and smoke detectors.
Appliance & Hardware Repair: Troubleshoot and make minor repairs to household appliances (stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers). Replace cabinet hardware, door locks, blinds, and window screens.
Flooring & Carpentry: Perform minor floor repairs (vinyl plank, tile, or carpet transition strips) and adjust doors or cabinets so they hang and latch perfectly.
Final Inspection & Detail: Conduct a comprehensive walk-through of the completed punch list to ensure everything is functioning flawlessly before the new resident moves in.
Trash-Out & Prep: Assist with removing any remaining debris or abandoned items left behind by previous tenants to prepare the canvas for restoration.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in property maintenance, professional painting, construction, or a related handyman field.
Technical Know-How: Proven hands-on experience with interior painting and drywall repair, alongside basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
Problem Solver: Ability to look at a worn-down space, figure out exactly what it needs, and efficiently execute the repairs.
Tools: Must possess your own basic hand tools (drills, hammers, screwdrivers, paint brushes/rollers, wrenches, etc.).
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Reliability: A valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and a strong work ethic are non-negotiable.
What We Offer
Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision).
Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
Opportunities for career growth and advancement within a thriving property management company.
