Apparel Independent Sales Representative

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Apparel Independent Sales Representative based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to drive wholesale growth for a fast-scaling, sustainability-focused apparel brand across the West Coast. You will be responsible for expanding retail presence within lifestyle boutiques, premium specialty stores, and outdoor and coastal retailers, while strengthening long-term relationships with key accounts. Operating as an independent representative, you will manage your own territory with a high degree of autonomy and entrepreneurial ownership. The role combines relationship-building, sales execution, and market intelligence to identify new opportunities and grow seasonal revenue. You will represent a mission-driven brand known for comfort, timeless design, and environmentally conscious materials. This is a field-oriented position with significant travel, ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic retail environments and enjoys building brands through authentic partnerships.

Accountabilities:
  • Build, expand, and manage wholesale accounts across the Western U.S. territory
  • Identify and develop new retail partnerships within lifestyle, outdoor, specialty, and coastal store channels
  • Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with retail partners, including order management, updates, and sell-through tracking
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal sales, product, and marketing teams to align on seasonal strategies and execution
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, market appointments, and retail activations
  • Travel regularly across the assigned territory (approximately 40–50%) to support accounts and drive sales performance
Requirements
  • Established Independent Sales Rep or Agency with an active West Coast retail network
  • Strong background in apparel, lifestyle, outdoor, or sustainable consumer goods sales
  • Existing relationships with specialty, boutique, and premium retail accounts
  • Proven ability to manage wholesale accounts, including ordering, forecasting, and retail math
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with a consultative sales approach
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a multi-state territory independently
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with high levels of accountability and self-direction
  • Comfortable representing a mission-driven, sustainability-focused brand in the field
