Overview
The VIRGINIA Class Aft end Integration organization is seeking a highly motivated P/C Tech Aide to perform several key roles, as described below, in support of the existing and future design programs.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist the Major Area Team Leaders (MATLs) and Major Area Team Integration Team Leader (MAITL) in the planning, execution and documentation of team activities as well as having a good understanding of organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively at the various levels of the major area team organization. Candidates must have a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Specific areas of responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and participate with the Major Area Team (MAT) review and approvals supporting the MATLs
- Coordinate and assist with arrangement meetings that include video teleconference (VTC) agendas with NAVSEA, preparing VTC presentation summaries and VTC conference reports
- Develop and publishing MAT actions items, assisting in the progressing of the team schedules and expediting sign –off of MAT products such as approvals sheets and conference reports.
- Developing and submitting weekly upcoming arrangement product reports for all Aft End VIRGINIA programs
- Run reports and produce data packages for various work, meetings and presentation reviews supporting the MAITL
- Initiate EB business system requests to support the organization (software upgrades, tickets, facility projects to support the group)
Responsibilities
- Applicants must have strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office products and Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, One Note etc.
- Adapt priorities to support urgent needs and communicate changes in completion dates or priorities to management
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to support department objectives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform data entry, scanning, filing
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense secret clearance
Preferred:
- College Degree
- Familiarity with submarine ship systems and operations
- Experience with major area teams
