This role offers the opportunity to shape the safety, security, and integrity of one of the world’s most widely used knowledge platforms, accessed by over a billion users each month. You will lead cross-functional product initiatives focused on protecting users and contributors while preserving open access to knowledge. The environment blends product leadership, community collaboration, and applied technology, with a strong emphasis on responsible AI and machine learning. You will work at the intersection of safety, trust, and large-scale information systems, tackling complex challenges involving abuse prevention, platform integrity, and online harm mitigation. A key part of the role involves engaging directly with global volunteer communities to ensure product decisions reflect real-world needs and constraints. You will also help define how emerging technologies reshape online safety in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. This is a high-impact position where your work directly supports trust, reliability, and openness at global scale.
In this role, you will lead the product strategy and execution for safety and integrity initiatives, ensuring the platform remains secure, trustworthy, and resilient against misuse. You will guide cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with global communities to define and deliver high-impact solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and driving the product vision and roadmap for safety, trust, and platform integrity initiatives
- Identifying high-impact problem areas and prioritizing initiatives that strengthen user safety and system resilience
- Leading development of product features and technical interventions that reduce abuse, manipulation, and security risks
- Managing cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data science, and community engagement
- Leveraging data analysis and community insights to inform product decisions and measure impact
- Engaging directly with global volunteer communities to gather feedback and ensure transparency in product development
- Monitoring trends in online safety, privacy, and emerging technologies to proactively address risks and opportunities
- Ensuring effective communication with stakeholders across technical, organizational, and community groups
This role requires strong product leadership experience in building and scaling internet or consumer-facing platforms, particularly in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You should be comfortable working with data, communities, and technical teams to deliver impactful solutions. Key requirements include:
- 5+ years of product management or equivalent experience leading cross-functional product initiatives
- Proven experience working on internet-scale or consumer-facing digital products in agile environments
- Strong ability to define product strategy and drive execution across engineering, design, and analytics teams
- Experience analyzing data and using insights to guide product decisions and measure outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and communities
- Strong stakeholder management skills in complex environments with competing priorities
- Familiarity or experience in online safety, trust & safety, privacy, or security-focused products is highly desirable
- Background in working with open or online communities is a strong plus
- Technical or engineering background in software or information security is an added advantage
