Description:

The Daycare Worker plays a vital role in providing direct care, supervision, and instruction for students in the before/after school and summer childcare programs, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment that aligns with the vision and mission of the church and school.

Requirements:

Tasks:

  • Implement and facilitate curriculum and activities as directed for the school year and summer program
  • Supervise students closely to create and maintain a safe, secure environment.
  • Maintain accurate daily attendance, student check-in/check-out logs, and enrollment documentation.
  • Monitor and manage student behavior, resolve conflicts, and handle incidents in accordance with school policies.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding student behavior, daily updates, and incidents.
  • Set up, clean, and maintain facility spaces, ensuring supplies and materials are used appropriately.
  • Report supply needs, facility maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the Daycare Director.
  • Adhere to the FCC Conduct Covenant and FCC Mission, Family Values & Staff Statement of Ethics.
  • Collaborate with the Daycare Director and other staff to help fulfill the vision and mission of the church and school.

Resource Management Skills:

  • Managing one’s own time effectively to keep students on a structured daily schedule.
  • Ensuring the appropriate and safe use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to accomplish daily activities.

Knowledge:

  • English language.
  • Valid CPR and Firs Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, talk, and hear.
  • Regularly subjected to both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
