This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Account Manager based in Switzerland.
In this role, you will take ownership of the full sales cycle for complex IT and software solutions, working with enterprise clients across industries such as banking, insurance, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. You will operate at the intersection of technology and business, combining consultative selling with deep client relationship management to drive long-term value. This is a highly client-facing position where you will identify new opportunities, shape tailored solutions, and contribute directly to business growth in a fast-evolving technology environment. You will be responsible for building trusted partnerships, expanding accounts through strategic upselling and cross-selling, and navigating complex procurement processes. The role offers strong autonomy within a collaborative, tech-driven organization focused on innovation and digital transformation. You will also play a key role in shaping the presence of the Swiss market and strengthening long-term customer engagement.
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales process for tailored IT and software solutions, ensuring both new business acquisition and long-term account growth. You will combine strategic prospecting, relationship management, and commercial execution to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead qualification through negotiation and contract closure
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of enterprise clients with defined revenue targets (quota responsibility)
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market analysis
- Lead RFP/RFQ processes, including bid preparation, coordination, and competitive analysis
- Build long-term client relationships focused on retention, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities
- Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and CRM management (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
- Represent the company at industry events and support marketing and client engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with client needs and market opportunities
You bring solid experience in B2B software or IT services sales, ideally within complex enterprise environments. You are commercially driven, highly autonomous, and confident navigating long sales cycles with senior stakeholders.
- Several years of experience in B2B sales of IT solutions, software, or technology services
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing complex deal cycles
- Experience handling RFPs, RFQs, and structured enterprise procurement processes
- Strong knowledge of CRM tools, ideally Microsoft Dynamics, and forecasting practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and self-driven working style
- Strong network within relevant industries such as finance, insurance, manufacturing, or pharmaceuticals is a plus
- Customer-oriented and solution-focused approach with strong commercial awareness
