Bank Agile Product Owner Senior

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Bank Agile Product Owner Senior based in United States.

This role is a key leadership position within a large-scale banking technology and operations environment, focused on driving agile delivery for core deposit and everyday banking platforms. You will act as the strategic link between business stakeholders, technology teams, and end users, ensuring that product direction aligns with regulatory requirements, customer needs, and enterprise banking objectives. The position plays a critical role in shaping the evolution of core banking systems supporting deposits, savings, CDs, and IRAs. You will define and prioritize value-driven backlogs, guide agile teams, and ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant banking solutions. This is a highly collaborative and data-driven role that requires balancing regulatory rigor with innovation and customer experience. You will also help improve agile maturity across teams while influencing key banking product decisions.

Accountabilities
  • Own and manage the agile team backlog, including grooming, prioritization, refinement, and ongoing alignment with business strategy and regulatory needs
  • Define and communicate product vision, goals, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and agile team leads
  • Serve as the “voice of the customer,” actively incorporating user feedback to improve banking products and digital experiences
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate business strategy into actionable epics, user stories, and delivery plans
  • Drive delivery of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring alignment with product performance and banking priorities
  • Analyze data and business needs to support decision-making, risk management, and continuous improvement of banking capabilities
  • Facilitate collaboration across agile teams, removing blockers, resolving dependencies, and optimizing value delivery flow
  • Support regulatory and operational initiatives such as deposit product servicing, compliance requirements, and banking system enhancements
  • Continuously improve agile practices, processes, and team effectiveness across the banking product ecosystem
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in banking, deposit products, debit card processing, or related financial services operations
  • Strong understanding of banking systems, including core deposit platforms and processing environments (e.g., Fidelity, host systems)
  • Experience working in Agile environments as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance frameworks, and financial product servicing processes
  • Proven ability to manage product backlogs, write user stories, and define clear acceptance criteria
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with experience tracking OKRs or performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage across technical and executive audiences
  • Experience collaborating across product, technology, and operations teams in complex enterprise environments
  • Certifications in Agile, Project Management, or Process Improvement are a plus
