Employment Type: Hourly Part-time

The Customer Service Attendant is responsible for providing superior customer service and maintaining positive customer relationships while performing check-in duties at the John G. Diefenbaker International Airport and Hangar 3A Terminal.

What you'll do

  • Conduct passenger check-ins including processing ticket, announcing flights, collecting boarding passes, assisting with baggage requirements and escorting passengers during departures and arrivals.
  • Assist with baggage handling and track lost baggage.
  • Receive and communicate weather information, flight times, and passenger loads.
  • Prepare flight/freight manifest, passenger tickets, and load sheets.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, peers, management, and various departments.
  • Coordinate transportation, meal requirements, and hotel reservations as required.
  • Respond to customer concerns, complaints, and service disruptions with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment to maintain positive customer relationships and supporting overall company operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, security procedures, and regulatory requirements.

What you'll bring

  • A high school diploma, with one to two years of customer service experience, is required.
  • The ability to acquire and maintain an Aircraft Radio license and a Restricted Area Identity Card is required.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and navigate interpersonal conflict.
  • Previous work experience or training in aviation is considered an asset.

What you'll get

The trainee rate for this role starts at $19.18 per hour. Following successful probation with required RAIC, AVOP and radio license, the rate of pay for this role will start at $19.66 per hour.
