Job Description

Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist II is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in recruiting, benefits administration, leave management, attendance tracking, HR reporting, and employee support. The successful candidate will be a hands-on HR professional who is organized, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a lean HR team structure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle recruiting process including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, debriefing, onboarding, applicant tracking, and recruiting-related reporting. Draft employment offers and onboarding documentation in accordance with approved hiring decisions and established procedures.

• Maintain candidate pipelines and ensure timely movement of candidates through the recruitment process.

• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, qualifying life events, employee communications. Coordinate with benefit carriers and service providers to resolve employee and administrative issues.

• Reconcile benefit carrier invoices and investigate enrollment or deduction discrepancies.

• Administer leave programs including FMLA, ADA accommodations, STD, LTD, personal leaves, and return-to-work processes.

• Maintain leave documentation and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.

• Assist with initial workers' compensation claim reporting, documentation, and related employee communications.

• Monitor daily absenteeism and attendance activity, ensure accurate attendance documentation, and escalate attendance concerns to the HR Manager for review and follow-up.

• Maintain accurate attendance records and support attendance-related reporting.

• Prepare recurring operational HR reports and metrics, including recruiting activity, absenteeism, overtime, PTO utilization, leave administration, and other routine workforce reports.

• Support HR data analysis and reporting initiatives.

• Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within ADP Workforce Now.

• Support administration of ADP Workforce Now Time & Attendance, Benefits, Talent, and HRIS modules.

• Assist with onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, maintenance of employee files, employment records, and required HR documentation.

• Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, leave programs, and general employment matters.

• Support employee relations activities, investigations, documentation, and corrective action processes as assigned.

• Serve as payroll backup and support payroll-related activities as needed.

• Participate in open enrollment planning, communication, and administration.

• Assist with audits, compliance activities, and special HR projects.

Qualifications – Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

• 3-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience.

• Strong recruiting experience required.

• Strong benefits administration experience required.

• Strong leave administration experience including FMLA and ADA coordination required.

• Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operational environment preferred.

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now required.

• Experience with Time & Attendance, Benefits, Talent, and HRIS modules required.

• SAP experience preferred.

• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• This position is part of a lean HR team supporting a manufacturing operation.

• The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining strong execution of transactional and operational HR responsibilities.

• The role requires flexibility, adaptability, strong follow-through, and a collaborative approach to shared departmental responsibilities.

• May have the opportunity to serve as a member of the Safety Committee and support employee safety initiatives.

Training Requirements

• Job-specific training per the current training plan.

• General safety, GMP, and OSHA compliance training.

• Participation in ongoing professional development and cross-training.
