Job Description:

Wilsonart in Temple, Texas has an opening for Plant Warehouse Person

Temple Plant Receiving department currently has an opening for a Plant Warehouse Person. The Plant Warehouse Person transports carts, dumpsters, skids to the compactor and logs information for waste material. Refills the propane tanks and operates the Sweeper & Scrubber as needed. Performs other tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate multiple pieces of industrial equipment
• Refills propane tanks and stores in designated area
• Transports full & empty dumpsters to and from the compactor
• Records weights and other information for all waste and recycling material
• Assist Receiving as needed with other routine tasks

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of computers is sufficient to input and retrieve data.
• Knowledge of products and their manufacturing processes.
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to use basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to identify material characteristics.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment.

EXPERIENCE: One year work experience required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Heavy work - Tasks involve pushing/pulling, lifting and standing or using force equal to handling material 50 to 100 pounds

ENVIRONMENT: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
