Relationship Banker I

At Rio Bank, we believe great banking starts with great relationships. As a Relationship Banker I, you'll help support commercial customers, work alongside experienced Relationship Managers, and gain valuable exposure to lending, portfolio administration, and relationship banking.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and learning the fundamentals of commercial banking. You'll collaborate with customers and internal partners while building skills that can lead to future opportunities throughout our lending and commercial banking teams.
What You'll Do
Support Customer Relationships
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer requests and routine banking inquiries.
- Assist Relationship Managers with customer follow-up and service needs.
- Help coordinate communication regarding documentation, loan status updates, and account servicing requests.
- Deliver responsive, professional service that strengthens customer relationships.
Assist with Loan & Portfolio Administration
- Collect, organize, and maintain loan and portfolio documentation.
- Track financial statements, insurance requirements, exceptions, and other portfolio items.
- Coordinate appraisal requests, documentation gathering, and follow-up activities.
- Maintain accurate records and customer files.
Support Banking Solutions
- Assist with customer onboarding and deposit-related documentation.
- Identify opportunities to connect customers with additional products and services.
- Coordinate with internal teams to help deliver a seamless client experience.
Maintain Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Follow Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Protect confidential customer and Bank information.
- Complete required training and maintain accurate documentation and records.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two (2) or more years of banking, customer service, lending support, loan processing, financial services, or related experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or college coursework in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Commercial banking, lending support, loan processing, or credit administration experience.
- Knowledge of loan documentation and banking operations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.
