This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead quality assurance efforts across innovative mobile and web products within a fast-growing technology environment.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will own quality assurance initiatives across web and mobile applications, ensuring product reliability through effective testing strategies, automation, and collaboration with engineering teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Define, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases to support high-quality software releases.
  • Perform manual and automated testing across frontend and backend systems, including mobile applications and cloud-based services.
  • Build, maintain, and improve automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Conduct API testing and validate backend services and integrations using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution using issue management systems.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure new releases maintain functionality and backward compatibility.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.
  • Contribute to QA process improvements and establish scalable quality standards within the engineering organization.
  • Mentor teammates on QA best practices and promote a strong quality-focused culture.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability, customer experience, and development efficiency.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced QA professional with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to influence quality practices across engineering teams. Required qualifications and skills include:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related engineering quality role.
  • Strong experience creating, executing, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and defect reporting processes.
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
  • Solid experience with API testing tools including Postman, RestAssured, or comparable solutions.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into software delivery processes.
  • Understanding of backend systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Experience testing frontend applications and backend services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering reliable and high-quality products.

Nice-to-have qualifications include:

  • Experience working with fintech, payments, or credit card platforms.
  • Exposure to performance testing and load-testing tools.
  • Knowledge of mobile automation frameworks such as Appium.
  • Experience establishing QA processes in early-stage or rapidly growing organizations.
