As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack), you will own the development and delivery of high-quality product features across frontend and backend systems. You will contribute to scalable architecture, improve engineering practices, and help create polished digital experiences for users.
- Own features end-to-end, from discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
- Build and enhance full-stack applications, including donor-facing interfaces, campaign experiences, analytics capabilities, and personalization features.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and frontend applications using modern technologies.
- Create intuitive, visually polished user experiences while maintaining strong functionality, performance, and scalability.
- Develop new AI-powered product capabilities and leverage modern AI development tools to improve engineering productivity.
- Apply strong technical judgment when reviewing AI-generated code, ensuring architectural quality, security, maintainability, and long-term code health.
- Improve system reliability by implementing monitoring, instrumentation, performance optimization, and scalable engineering practices.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate user needs into effective technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and engineering improvements while contributing constructively to team decisions.
- Diagnose and resolve customer issues, production bugs, and technical challenges affecting product quality.
- Support experimentation, continuous delivery, and a culture of innovation across the engineering organization.
The ideal candidate is an experienced full-stack engineer with a strong foundation in software development, cloud infrastructure, and modern product engineering practices. You should be comfortable owning complex projects, working across technologies, and using AI tools as a productivity accelerator while maintaining high engineering standards.
- 6+ years of experience building modern web applications, including experience operating and scaling production systems.
- Strong proficiency with C# and API development, including experience integrating with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Svelte.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar solutions as part of your development workflow.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals developed through substantial pre-AI engineering experience.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, including indexing, query optimization, scaling strategies, and performance tuning.
- Solid DevOps knowledge, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure monitoring, and application scaling.
- Experience with observability tools for metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting, with familiarity using monitoring solutions such as DataDog preferred.
- Strong design awareness and experience building polished, user-focused interfaces.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code across frontend and backend environments.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience with SaaS, B2B products, nonprofit technology, Kubernetes, reliability practices, open-source contributions, or technical writing is considered a plus.
