Position Summary |
The Learning and Development Specialist role supports the design, implementation, and facilitation of professional development programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance. This role will assist in developing and maintaining training materials, coordinating learning activities, and evaluating the effectiveness of professional development initiatives across the organization. Additionally, this role will manage system maintenance for the learning management system (LMS) and digital competency management platform, ensuring smooth operation, updating content, and tracking learner progress. This role supports learners in an interprofessional environment that facilitates continuous development and aligns with the organization's strategic goals and fosters a culture of continuous learning.

Position Responsibilities |
Unit Specific Position Responsibilities
- Oversees the management and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Supports maintenance and management of the digital competency management system.
- Facilitates, collaborates and supports the general orientation process including preparation of materials, agendas, communications, and facilitates/presents educational/orientation programs.
- Supports CBL (Computer Based Learning) review and release dates.
- Maintains various files, computer databases, and records.
- Prepares detailed reports and communicates effectively through both written and verbal formats.
- Supports professional development programs and education initiatives that foster staff onboarding, growth, and development.
- Oversee mock audits, regulatory readiness, and assessment preparations.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience |
Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education):
- Associates degree in Healthcare Management or similar
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Must possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills and effective group presentation skills; including expertise to troubleshoot audio/ visual equipment.
- Ability to select appropriate work procedures, analyze problems, determine corrective measures and initiate corrective action within the limits of operational policy.
- Skilled in use of computer applications (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Access).
- Ability to present and coordinate programs and to work with interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in communication skills.
- Ability to pursue and foster a sense of team and partnership across all disciplines.
